At the Listing Editor page you can modify
existing postings or add additional listings.
Select the "Add" button to start entering the
information for your new listing. Most entries are self explanatory .
The "Featured" option will place the home
you are posting on the MyCastroValley.Com
home page. Prior agreement with MyCastroValley management is required.
The Preview Description text box provides
you with an opportunity to provide a short description of the property
that will appear in listings of numerous houses. Although
additional text can be added the limit for the best visiual presentation should be approximately 50 words.
The Full Description allows for
a complete description of the home. This text will only appear when one
home is selected. In other words, from a list of many homes if one is
selected it moves to a new page focusing attention to one specific
listing.
Images
Uploading images of
your listing can be a little confusing and requires some direction.
The first picture you will probably want posted on your add will be an
overall photo of the home. This picture will normally be on your local
or network computer. When selecting this image please send us the
largest photo (usually the original picture). This will result in the
clearest image. We will provide the smaller (thumbnail) pictures as needed
from the original you post.
Upload your first image by moving to the
bottom of the page and selecting "Upload" . This will move you to
the Upload Images page. The program provides for uploading up to
ten photos at one time (home, kitchen, dinning room, etc.) but for
demonstration purposes we will describe a single image. Click on the top
"Browse" field. This will allow you to look through your computer
for the image you want to select. Highlight that image and click open.
This brings you back to the Upload Image page with the location of the
image showing in the Select Image box. Click upload to see a
preview of the image and an opportunity to provide a short description
(Center Street, James, etc.). This entry is for identification
purposes only and will not be displayed. If you are satisfied click
"Save".
You are now back at the primary input screen where all of your other
information has been entered. Curser down to the "Preview Image" text
box and press the down arrow. You will only see one
option with the name you provided during the preview mentioned above. Select
that name (in the future you will see all of the pictures uploaded for this
home -- kitchen, patio, etc). The Preview selection is the picture that will accompany all of
your listings. You can take another look at your selection by moving
down to the "Image Manager" and the Select Image box.
Click on the down arrow and select the image just saved and press
view. This will once again give you a preview of your selection.
Click ok to return to the primary input screen.
If you want to provide additional pictures use the same procedure cited
above. Remember that the first image listed next to the "Preview
Image" box will be the one seen on all multiple home listings.
At this point just click "save"
then "ok" and your listing is now active. You will be moved to your
listing editor page which depicts all homes you currently have listed on MyCastroValley.Com. Please make sure you log off
for security purpose and then go to our "Real
Estate" page and take a look at your latest listing.
