More Castro Valley Businesses

Mike and Mary Salvadorini opened the Castro Villa restaurant on the site of the old "Exchange" in the 1930s. It became a popular restaurant and meeting place.

  
 

A post card from the 1880s asks, "How many boys are in the tree?" In the background you can see Grove Way on the side and Redwood Road behind with the old "Exchange" on the corner. (The answer is 13 boys!)
Many local clubs met at the Castro Villa.
